I wanted to archive some of my favorite image archives and realized Anything.io would be perfect for this.

http://www.moodmail.org/ is an amazing source of images. Follow them on IG.

On Anything you can simply drag and drop the folder, or drag and drop all images and drop them on the page. Name your source and it sucks them all up.

I will archive more image libraries like this. It’s a way to preserve them and make them searchable which will be super useful.

Let me know whether you know any image archives you think we should download and upload on Anything.

While the tech giants scrape the whole internet to build their massive databases we are left behind. Why can’t we all have google images for ourselves?

Google and Facebook are indexing anything they can get their hands on, so why not the rest of us?

Anything’s goal is to give the power of modern technology to you. We are building your own personalized, living, and breathing image archive, each image automatically classified by machine learning.

Google image search but with good images, Pinterest but automated, and also unlike the two, it’s cool.

Avoid being stupid over trying to be clever

Our first round of signups triggered a wave of bug fixing. It's amazing what a difference it makes having a few friends using the platform.

Anything is hungry… very hungry. We will be crossing 100,000 images very soon.
